Heather Docherty's Story

File 40On my initial visit I was treated with respect and kindness which made me feel that I was special."

I was a prisoner of my existing dentures. They never stayed in place and as a result I eventually stopped going out to lunch etc. with friends. There is nothing more embarrassing than trying to eat, talk and laugh with your dentures getting in the way.  I even had to stop swimming in case my teeth would fall out!

On my initial visit I was treated with respect and kindness which made me feel that I was special. Everything was explained to me in great detail which gave me the confidence to go ahead with the procedure.

On the day of the operation once again I was treated with kindness and laughter. I was made to feel completely at ease. The operation itself was painless and recovery was quick.

The next morning, I had a full set of teeth that were permanent. Once the healing process was complete, I could eat anything with absolute confidence.

I was contacted practically every day for the first week after my operation and kept in touch until my post-op appointment.

Pat Tripp's Story

I had been living with a partial denture, but I hated it. Food would get stuck underneath and I’d be embarrassed to smile. I just wasn’t comfortable smiling or talking in public. My hand automatically covered my mouth when I would laugh. It certainly had an impact on my self-confidence. My experience was fantastic. I really did not have any pain at all! I still can’t believe it. People noticed right away that I looked better, but they didn’t know why. My son's wedding was one month after my surgery and I received nothing but compliments. People thought I was twenty years younger than my actual age! I am looking forward to not worrying about dental work. It is wonderful to be able to smile naturally again! I have not felt this happy and confident in a long, long time. The whole experience was wonderful; better than I could’ve hoped for. To anyone who is thinking about doing this– go for it! You will never regret it.

Chris Davis's Story

I couldn’t be more pleased with “Permanent Teeth in a Day” technology. Not only can I finally smile and speak with confidence, but I can eat whatever I want.

I was in a situation where I had lost a number of teeth over the years, and the prognosis was more of the same in the future. I was therefore in a position of contemplating a traditional dentistry approach of implants, bridges, crowns and bone grafts over the course of two years..

In the interim, I had conducted some research and learned about the "Permanent Teeth in a Day  " methodology that had been gaining interest initially in Europe, where complete upper and/or lowers can be fixed, using 4 or 5 implants placed at angles for increased strength and rigidity. The result is a fixed prosthesis that has the functionality of real teeth, at significantly less expense and without the inconvenience and potential embarrassment of dentures. I was also intrigued with the notion of "smile the same day". In other words, in most cases, the work could be completed in one day, alleviating the necessity of going toothless for an uncertain number of weeks.

I did a search as to who could provide an estimate for this type of work and made an appointment. I was immediately impressed with the professionalism of the dentists and staff – as well as their empathy for my condition!

We talked extensively about treatment options, but at no time did I feel I was being pushed or "sold". We settled on a proposed approach and I received a clear estimate for services. Two days later I decided to proceed with the plan.

There was inevitable discomfort for a few days after surgery as one would expect after having all teeth removed, however it was not unmanageable, and I was given adequate medication to control the pain. The surgery itself was relatively pain free as I was under a general anaesthetic. The limo ride to and from the dental office provided a morale boost – not having to face traffic on top of everything else.

I have had the temporary prosthesis now for seven months, and I am looking forward to having my permanent teeth available in the next 60 days. For the most part nowadays, I forget that the teeth in my mouth aren’t mine. I’ve gone from feeling like I have a mouth of marbles with no sensation, to now having what seems like a natural set of teeth with the ability to begin to "feel" food again.

Being "blessed" with soft teeth, I have spent thousands over the years, for innumerable root canals, fillings, crowns and bridgework, and experienced a great deal of pain. Deciding to have all my remaining teeth pulled was a major life decision. Fortunately, I couldn’t be more pleased with "Permanent Teeth in a Day  " technology and the job done. Not only can I finally smile and speak with confidence, but I can eat whatever I want. I take particular joy in being able to bite into a crisp apple worry free.

To anyone who has endured what I have in life with my teeth - It’s a very meaningful pleasure.

Warren Atchison's Story

I am able to eat almost anything and once again have my life back.

It is just over a year now that I have had my implants done. Previous to that I had spent five years trying to keep upper dentures in but with no luck. It all started when I broke a front tooth off and was talked into getting a bridge put in. That is when all my troubles began but I won’t go into that.

In those five years, I had been to see in total three Dentists and one Denturist without success. Eventually I lost all my upper teeth and then ended up with an upper plate that proved to be useless in my case, as I had no upper bone structure and the dentures would not stay in. When it came to implants I had been told I did not have sufficient bone and would need bone grafting and a sinus lift. I basically became a stay at home person. I tried every type of powder and paste to hold them in but like I said, no luck.

So an appointment was made. My dentures were realigned and at the same time it was mentioned to me the possibility of a new procedure called "Permanent Teeth in a Day". Plus, with this procedure I would not need either the bone graft or the sinus lift.   Well, needless to say, I passed the waiting period and now am the proud owner of permanent teeth. I am able to eat almost anything and once again have my life back. I am no longer that stay at home person. I would not hesitate to do it again or recommend this procedure to anyone else. Thank you.

Nicole Breton's Story

I can now eat what I want, don’t have to worry about my denture slipping when talking or while doing any activities, and best of all, I have a great smile.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the excellent care I have received and still receive. The staff always greet  you with smiles and positive attitudes. Everyone is so very friendly and pleasant, truly making each person walking in feel comfortable and welcome.

I had been a denture wearer for many years and knew about dental implants. I was very apprehensive to get it done because of the perceived pain involved and the cost of doing such a procedure.

As I was told, there was very little pain involved, and yes, I did start eating regular food right away. Yes, food does taste better. Thanks to the implants, I can now eat what I want, don’t have to worry about my denture slipping when talking or while doing any activities, and best of all, I have a great smile.

Now two months later, I cannot imagine what my mouth would be like without the implants. I recommend it to everyone.

Martha Harder's Story

I would highly recommend this procedure to anyone, it is like having your own natural teeth!

I have worn a partial upper denture since I was 14 years old, my palate was always covered with metal. A year ago I had all my upper teeth extracted and a complete upper denture inserted at the time of extraction. The denture never really did fit properly; it was loose and continually fell out of my mouth. I decided to go with the "Permanent Teeth in a Day" procedure and have never been happier. I can taste food again, my palate is not covered – feels like natural teeth. I almost get the urge at various times to take them out and then I remember that they are permanent! I have never been more pleased; no more loose dentures, relines or messy glue to put on. My husband and family say that they look great. I would highly recommend this procedure to anyone, it is like having your own natural teeth!

Serene Niles' Story

My removable denture was so uncomfortable. I couldn’t taste my favourite foods, and I always felt very self-conscious when going out to social occasions. When my dentist told me about permanent dental implant Permanent Teeth in a Day procedure, I was a little hesitant. Going to the dentist has always concerned me because of the pain. But I couldn’t believe it – there was no pain at all! I was amazed. Now my life has truly changed. My new teeth feel so natural, and so comfortable – like they were there all along. I can now enjoy all of those foods that I couldn’t taste before. This really is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I still can’t believe it. I’ve told everyone I know about this. And frankly, my great looking smile is just a bonus. The real gift is how I feel inside.
